This auction is for a John Atencio designer bracelet that you'll never get tired of looking at.  There's so much going on in this bracelet!  It's primarily sterling silver, with 18K yellow gold bezels holding in three AWESOME medium purple natural amethysts.  No question these are natural gemstones--sometimes you can't tell with amethysts, but one is just the slightest bit lighter than the other two and guess what, if they were fake, this wouldn't be the case.  These are fancy cut ovals set in east-west fashion, so that when you look down into them, you see a zillion lines from the facets on the underside.  Each amethyst measures 10 x 8mm, or 2.4 carats each.  To each side of the center amethyst is a channel of little prong-set diamonds to add to the elegance of the bracelet.

On the underside of the bracelet, John Atencio's name is signed in full, as you can see in the photos. I  don't know the age of this bracelet or whether he signs all of his bracelets in this fashion, but I thought it was quite classy to see the name underneath. 

The top is solid like a bangle bracelet would be.  There are two more moveable pieces attached to that semicircle to form the underside and hold the clasp, which is a fancy large spring ring closure.

This is an estate piece in very good condition.  It will not fit every wrist, as it's a bit smaller than your average bracelet.  I have a 6 1/4" wrist and it fits me perfectly, but I wouldn't bid on it if your wrist is larger than 6 1/4".  It hugs your wrist and feels absolutely elegant on it.  The bracelet is 1/4" wide at the front and 1/8" wide at the inside of the wrist. 

It's hallmarked SS 18K on the inside, and it weighs a solid 33.6 grams.

A beautiful designer piece at a fraction of the cost.
