Well over 95% of sapphires have been heated to enhance their color, and over 99% of emeralds have been soaked in oil to improve their appearance. Unless otherwise indicated, one can safely assume that all colored gemstones sold by Mednikow, by other sellers on eBay, and by any other seller in the world, have been heated to enhance their appearance (except emeralds, which have been "oiled.") Also, unless otherwise indicated, the treatments are so common that they are not only accepted but expected by the members of the international gem community. Return Policy: Returns are welcome within one week of receipt. We generally don't charge a restocking fee, but we reserve the right to charge a 10% restocking fee if we feel our return policy is being abused. Items that have been altered at the customer's request cannot be returned. Postage and insurance fees are not refundable. Payment: We accept all major credit cards, Paypal, cashier's checks and money orders. Sales Tax: We are obligated to collect 9.25% sales tax for shipments within Tennessee and 7.00% sales tax for shipments within Georgia. Domestic Shipping, Insurance, and Handling: The shipping fee for this item is $12.00 via Federal Express 2 Day Air.
